Bridport Business Areas

Bridport has a very well-loved high street and street market, and was voted 3rd best market town by Countryfile.  Within the town there are a number of trading estates and independent businesses, covering a wide range of commercial sectors.  In the surrounding area, there are a vast array of businesses operating out of formal business space as well as from home.

Vibrant high street with a good mix of independent and multi-national shops.  On Wednesday and Saturday, there is a popular street market and once a month on a Saturday there is farmers market in the town centre.

Locally known as the vintage quarter, this is an area for antiques, art, upholstery, tiling, flooring and design.  Keep an eye out for the regular Sunday Vintage Markets held here and the new Sunday food market.

An extremely popular harbour village,  West Bay is home to the award winning Riverside Seafood Restaurant, as well as 25+ businesses ranging from art shops, restaurants, cafes and the golf course.

North Mills to the East of the town is home to a range of businesses ranging from blind manufactures to a college training centre.

To the north of the town, Gore Cross trading estate is the base for a number of electrical, plumbing and building suppliers, as well as the world renowned Huck Nets and motoring company Top Gear.

Surrounding villages

Villages such as Symondsbury and Pymore have a number of exciting businesses.   And so to Bed is based in Pymore, with Miles Cross Farm and the Symondsbury Estate and Kitchen based in Symondsbury.

Bridport and the surrounding area is full of small home-based businesses, whether that be artists, alternative therapists, IT support, Web design or Marketing to name but a few.
