Welcome to Bridport Chamber of Trade and Commerce.
Bridport is a thriving market town set in beautiful countryside. The town has recently been voted Britain's 3rd best market town by CountryFile, for which we are tremendously proud.
Bridport and its surrounding area supports a vast array of businesses, including start-ups, artists, retail outlets, hoteliers, farms, service providers, accountants, lawyers, restaurants and manufacturing. Bridport has a long history in the net trade, with a number of net manufacturers still operating from the town. The town has a large number of well established family run businesses, an example of which is England’s Oldest Family Business, Est 1515; R J Balson & Son.
Bridport Business is the Chamber of Trade and Commerce for the town and has around 60 members, located in both the town centre and also the surrounding area.
Our group meets on the second Tuesday of every month, where members are able to voice issues of concern in an open and supportive environment. In addition to this meeting, we hold a number of events through-out the year to support the needs of the businesses within our community.
The Chamber depends on our members for success, and I know that the town is proud of the work that we do to support our business community. Whether you have been a member for a number of years, or are thinking of joining, I thank you for you support and look forward to supporting your business in the coming years.
Tim Hunt, President
